PHP Projects

PHP allows writing programs that work the same in Windows and Linux (and other OS) and that give a user the same interface whether accessing the program from the local computer or across the internet. I expect to use those features not just for adding trivial features to web pages, but for more complex GUI applications:

  • When I converted my Access databases to MySQL, the graphical user-interactive forms couldn't be transferred. PHP looks like the best option for recreating those.
  • PHP looks like a good path forward for some of my old C++ programs for which I'd like to provide a web interface, maybe even some of the graphics programs.

PHP is included with Linux distros. Download from php.net for Windows and other operating systems.

PHP isn't just for web pages. It can be used to write applications that run on your local computer, although for command line utility programs I'm more likely to use Perl.

Find malicious code on a hacked server PHP script to search for malicious code snippets, backdoor scripts, suspicious filenames, .htaccess redirects, and other suspicious text.
