Scanning radio and broadcast radio frequency databases for Microsoft Access

1) SCANNER.MDB is a Microsoft Access database for maintaining a list of radio frequencies heard on your scanner (scanning radio).

It has band limit markers already entered. If you hear an unknown station, the band limits help figure out what it is, and the markers make the display and printouts easier to read.

It has a couple of simple queries for searching, and a report that might need adjustments before it's useful for printing. There is a screenshot of the table below.

2) BRODCAST.MDB is a trivial database for entering the frequencies of broadcast radio stations, their call signs, cities of origin, times of day you heard them, and notes about their format. If you listen to far-away AM stations at night or are a short wave listening (SWL) enthusiast, the database might be useful.

It should be possible to add the fields from Brodcast.mdb to Scanner.mdb, rename it to Radio.mdb, and use the one database for all radio frequencies. Create queries to filter the results as needed.

Download:

scannermdb.zip (about 94 KB)
The zip contains both Scanner.mdb and Brodcast.mdb, in two versions of each: Access 2.0 and 2003. Rename the files you want to SCANNER.MDB and BRODCAST.MDB.

The scanner database Table1. The band limits are lower case. If you make the regular entries all upper case, it makes the groupings stand out.
