My website has been flagged by Google for containing malware. Can you help me? How much does something like this usually cost?

Hello [],

The most common reason sites get flagged is because they've been hacked, but there are other possible causes.

The lowest amount that a hack investigation has cost was about $150. The most was about $1500.

If it's not a hack and it's something simple, it could cost less than $100 if all I need to do is tell you what needs to be done and you do the work yourself. "The work" could involve editing pages, removing links, removing ads from the code, etc., depending on what the problem is.

What is the name of the site? I can take a quick look and see if the reason for it being flagged is obvious or whether it will require closer inspection.

Thanks for inquiring.

Sincerely,
Steven Whitney

Many posts I am posting tonight... I am being hacked or something realy wrong going on for my blog: myfirst50000.com. I do not have any computer knowledge. But what I did is that I switch of template, deletes all add and extra I had, I just kept my posts (I wouldn't like to delete the posts...) but the exact same issue remains. I had many internal links referring to my HubPages (they are articles), should I removed all the links that contain my blogs? I blog using Blogger of Google. Just desperate, I don't know what to do.

When you take one of those jobs, how do you proceed? Do you ask for our personal access for the Blogger accounts? I won't post them in here of course but I am very curious on how you proceed.

I had been hacked for one day now and its been more than enough. Very tired already and very upset. Not about you of course, but about what I am living as situation.

I replied more fully to your other message at http://25yearsofprogramming.com/forum/index.php?topic=141.0.

In addition to what I posted there, make sure that your new template does not violate any Terms of Service for Blogger or AdSense.

I don't know what Hub Pages are, but make sure those are not considered any kind of spam links or any kind of link exchange. Basically, as above, make sure they don't violate any TOS and don't violate the Google Quality Guidelines.
